Once upon a time, a stray lawyer/writer took a trip from Tempe, Arizona, to Tucson, Arizona from a playwriting contest. While in Tucson, Arizona, the lost lawyer/writer met a not lost programmer/roller derby referee. As these things always seem to go, they went to a Comic Con and saw grown men and women dressed in costumes more suited for people 20 pounds thinner.
They talked about travel, overweight superheros, and programming. The “The Spacing Effect, LLC” was born. The Spacing Effect is a developer of mobile applications for the iPhone and Android operating system. What that means, at least right now, is The Spacing Effect develops mobile language learning programs. Not over the top, Rosetta Stone language programs. Frankly, we think that kind of software ends up getting as much use as the juicer you bought at 2am from the infomercial. Rather, we develop simple, quick, language learning material that is meant to get you enough of the basics to be a tourist. And we do it for just a few bucks…free if you don’t mind advertisements.
More applications are already being discussed beyond language learning, but one thing at time…
